Easter

Well, better late then never I guess. Here is our Easter, sorry. The boys woke up to fine that the Easter bunny had left them some baskets of goodies and hidden eggs all around the house. As soon as they saw this the hunt was on. Then pretty much nothing but binge eating of chocolate for the rest of the day. We met up with my parents and my sister's family at her in-laws. We watched conference, ate, and went on a very large and challenging egg hunt. All and all it was a good day and my kiddos fell fast asleep as soon as we got into the car to go home. And that was our Easter story.

Everett's Cake

I got to help a friend this weekend make her son a first birthday cake. It was a lot of fun. We laughed and cried. It was very emotional ;). She did a really great job. The cakes were baked by her and she did a lot of the icing on the green monster cake (also a little on the kid cake). I did most of the icing on little kid cake. Her son is a chubby little red haired boy and I thought having him eat a cake version of himself would be super funny. So, he ate the little boy and the monster was for all the guests. I had so much fun doing this with her. Thanks for the opportunity Terra.

It's A Boy

Well, the title explains it all. We are super excited to have our house filled with boys. Oh, and he will be arriving sometime late July or early August. And we can't wait to meet him.

Party time

We had a birthday party for Allen and Carter this weekend. I made them a cake. It is the both of them racing remote control cars. It was a lot of fun to make and we got to share it with both Kevin's and my family. It was a great party and even the sun came out for it. We had a BBQ and played with all the new toys. My children are so spoiled. But I love them still the same.

More presents.
The very last present. The boys made off with a hole lot of loot. Everyone had a great time. Or at least I did.

The 5 year old

Allen turned 5 on Feb. 23rd. We decided to do a party for Carter and Allen together later but still wanted to do something fun on his special day. He went to school and I made him some cupcakes to share. Then that night we all went bowling for the first time. It was a lot of fun. Allen had never been before and loved it. He did really well and we will have to do this again sometime. Oh and sorry the pictures are in a strange order. I have been having a hard time getting them to do what I want.

It was my niece Amber's 18th birthday and we were commissioned to make a froggy cake. Soooo... Ta Da!

As we were making the cake, Carter got a hold of some smurfs. They will be sorely missed.

Surprise

Yesterday, while I was out running some errands, Kevin decided to give the boys a bath. Well lately Allen thinks he is to big and cool to take a bath with his brother. He says that Carter splashes and plays with toys in the tub and big kids just lay in the tub. So, Kevin said that Allen could take one first and then he would give Carter a bath when he was done. But to everyone's surprise, that was not Carter's plan. Kevin was in the kitchen and didn't see the stealth master slip by him and into the bathroom. But suddenly there was a scream coming from the other room. Kevin ran in to see what was going on and found this.

As you can see Carter climbed, clothes and all into the bath with Allen. (If you can't tell Allen is giving him the facial expression dirty crusties.)
Carter not only had his clothes on but he also brought his blanky in as well. You can't see it but he changed his mind after a second and chucked his blanket out. So, it sat in the middle of the floor soaking wet and leaking in every direction. When I got home I don't think there was anything that wasn't crazy wet.
