I got to help a friend this weekend make her son a first birthday cake. It was a lot of fun. We laughed and cried. It was very emotional ;). She did a really great job. The cakes were baked by her and she did a lot of the icing on the green monster cake (also a little on the kid cake). I did most of the icing on little kid cake. Her son is a chubby little red haired boy and I thought having him eat a cake version of himself would be super funny. So, he ate the little boy and the monster was for all the guests. I had so much fun doing this with her. Thanks for the opportunity Terra.
The journey of the Meagher family. Kevin, Corrine, Allen, Carter and Evan will laugh, cry, work and play together as they experience the joys and challenges of life on earth.

It's A Boy
Well, the title explains it all. We are super excited to have our house filled with boys. Oh, and he will be arriving sometime late July or early August. And we can't wait to meet him.

Party time
We had a birthday party for Allen and Carter this weekend. I made them a cake. It is the both of them racing remote control cars. It was a lot of fun to make and we got to share it with both Kevin's and my family. It was a great party and even the sun came out for it. We had a BBQ and played with all the new toys. My children are so spoiled. But I love them still the same.
The 5 year old
Allen turned 5 on Feb. 23rd. We decided to do a party for Carter and Allen together later but still wanted to do something fun on his special day. He went to school and I made him some cupcakes to share. Then that night we all went bowling for the first time. It was a lot of fun. Allen had never been before and loved it. He did really well and we will have to do this again sometime. Oh and sorry the pictures are in a strange order. I have been having a hard time getting them to do what I want.

The yummy monster cupcakes.
Allen, now that he is five.
Carter helped with the cupcakes. He had green poo for a week.

Surprise
Yesterday, while I was out running some errands, Kevin decided to give the boys a bath. Well lately Allen thinks he is to big and cool to take a bath with his brother. He says that Carter splashes and plays with toys in the tub and big kids just lay in the tub. So, Kevin said that Allen could take one first and then he would give Carter a bath when he was done. But to everyone's surprise, that was not Carter's plan. Kevin was in the kitchen and didn't see the stealth master slip by him and into the bathroom. But suddenly there was a scream coming from the other room. Kevin ran in to see what was going on and found this.
As you can see Carter climbed, clothes and all into the bath with Allen. (If you can't tell Allen is giving him the facial expression dirty crusties.)
Carter not only had his clothes on but he also brought his blanky in as well. You can't see it but he changed his mind after a second and chucked his blanket out. So, it sat in the middle of the floor soaking wet and leaking in every direction. When I got home I don't think there was anything that wasn't crazy wet. Thursday, December 31, 2009
Catch up
So, it has been a bit since we have blogged. Sorry about that, but here are the goings on with us lately.
As you can see Allen has glasses now. Little did we know he is just about as blind as a bat. But not any more with his cool new glasses.
Poor Carter has this (apparently common and no big deal) virus that is called throat, hand, and foot disease. It's all over his body and looks horirble. He is getting through it pretty well though. He has just been living in a baking soda bath.
Sorry again that the Christmas ones are backwards. This is Carter opening his stocking. He liked the oranges best. That a boy.
Allen opening his stocking. This is a little snowman fishing toy and candy.
Christmas morning. Santa came!!
And he put stuff in our stockings.
All our presents. Thanks Santa!
Christmas eve we always tell the story of Jesus birth and play Christmas games together.
Opening the Christmas eve jammies.
Carter's jams
We also did our gingerbread Christmas eve too.
Allen with Santa at Kevin's work party. Allen was like the only kid there at the time so he got to spend a hole lot of time with the big guy.
Oh yeah, we are having another child. This one will be coming to live with us on August 7th. We are all crossing our fingers for a girl. Well except for Allen he is praying for one every night. He says he already has a brother and doesn't need another one.
Allen also gave another talk in church. Kevin went up with him to help and we realized they were twiners that day. My cute little Father and Son team. Well I think you are caught up for the most part on the happenings in the Meagher house. Happy Holidays.
