Evan's 1st Birthday

Evan is now the big number 1. His birthday was so fun. My good friend Rachel came, lots of Kevin's family and some of mine too. It turned out really well. We all had a great time until Grandpa Tulett's car wouldn't start which was the beginning on a whole lot of car troubles for them. Other then that I think it was all a success.
Evan really loved opening the presents. Well, the ones that his brothers let him open. Everyone got him some really cute and fun things.
Here is his toy dino cake. Rachel and I had so much fun making this cake. I had so many awesome late night mistakes to laugh at.
The kids all loved the cake and could hardly wait to cut him up and eat him.
Okay just one more picture so we can all see how hard Rachel and I worked.
And as you can tell it was tasty.

And what's a party without the singing of happy birthday. So cute.

Conratuations Garett & Kaylyn

Garett (my nephew) got married this weekend. The girl he married seems really nice and it's going to be fun having her in the family. I went to the wedding alone while Kevin stayed home with the kids. But we all got to go to the reception later that night. The wedding was short and very sweet. It was a beautiful day. I forgot to take any pictures at the reception but here are some at the wedding. The reception was a ton of fun though. Carter danced with me several times and I got one dance out of Allen. Oh, and at the end all the brides maids and my mother jumped into the pool in there dresses. It was a blast.

Jerry and Tyrel opened the doors for Garett and Kaylyn. And there they are all newly married. What a cute couple. All of Garett and Kaylyn's sisters were brides maids. Here is our half of the girls.Natosha and CheryseWhat goes around comes around. I was over 6 months pregnant and a brides maid at Cheryse's wedding and now she is 8 months pregnant and a brides maid at Garett's.

This is Jayden and Denise. Jayden is Cheryse's little girl. She is just so super cute and I just couldn't stop taking pictures of her. I think I have about 12. She was the most photographed by my camera. This is Kayle and Ava. Ava is Amber's little girl. These two just looked so cute together I had to get a picture.
Here is the whole crew that came to the wedding. I think it is safe to say that we all loved it. And yes it was cute. Just in case you have heard me say that word enough.

Growing up can be so much fun!

The kids just never stop growing no matter what I do. I tell them to at least slow down but they do not listen. However we have a lot of fun along the way. Evan is going to be one soon (I know I can't believe it either). I love this age because they are still like a baby but way, way more fun.

Kevin loves this. Every time Evan gets thrown up in the air his tucks one foot in and kicks the other out. It looks like he is doing this awesome Karate move. Hiya!Evan has not been loving his baths lately so I tried out an all boy bath. He loved it! Now he never wants to get out. Although with this many kids he has water in his face at all times and so it is near imposable to get a good picture of him.

This little green ball is Evan's favorite and has been his only motivation to crawl at all. So thanks to this ball Evan is just starting to bust some moves on the grown. Thanks green ball.

Evan is starting to get so that every time he sees the camera he stops and poses. So getting a good video of him crawling has been tough. This one has him crawling a little though.

Hanging with G and G Meagher

We got super lucky and had Grandma and Grandpa Meagher come for 3 days. This was one of the longest visits we have gotten them for and we loved it. We got to do lots of fun stuff. By the end all the kids and grandparents were wiped out.

First on our list of outings, was Manito Park. It has lots of gardens and fun stuff to look at. Carter's favorites are all the water features.

Our Grandma and Grandpa Meagher are always avoiding the camera at all costs. I don't think we have one good picture of them. Here Allen is trying to remedy that unsuccessfully.

Okay, I can get pictures of them but it seems the only ones I can get are of there butts.

Manito has an awesome koi pond. It has lots of fish and things like water falls and rocks to hop on. It gets a little tricky, sometimes keeping Carter from hopping right in though.

Oh yeah and there is a brdige to look at the fish from, too.

Our little Evan did great in the stroller for all that time. He is such a good little boy and so cute.

In this park there is also a duck pond. (Yes, this park has just about everything.) The kids love quaking at the ducks and looking for turtles in the water.

By the end of this park trip Carter was getting pretty sleepy and a little ornery. This is his protest to anymore walking. Poor kid.

Then next fun thing we did (not in the same day) was go to Cat Tails. It has all kinds of big cats and a bear too. I thought Carter wouldn't like it all that much, seeing as how house cats scare the pants off him. But everyone loved it. We got to learn all sorts of things about these cats and Allen is still telling everyone things he learned.

No, the boys are not just taking there picture next to this large gnome hat. There is a white tiger in the there. Not that you can tell but they are actually really close to him.

The fun didn't stop with just these events but the camera did. The whole weekend was a blast and we can't wait till they come again. Thanks for all the fun Grandma and Grandpa. We love you.

First Cake I Ever Sold!

Yes! I sold my first cake last weekend. Well, I really sold two at the same time but this one was my first. I was also asked to make one for this weekend too. I can't believe people would pay me for this. It adds a lot of pressure when someone is paying you though. But despite the pressure I had so much fun making this cake. Well anyways, here it is.

Again I had so much fun making this cake. A special thanks to Kirsteen for asking me to do this for her instead of going to a professional. I feel so privileged to know that people think my cakes are good enough to pay for.

Our Biggest Baseball Boy

It's that time of year again for Allen's baseball games. This year Allen is playing in the pony league. His team's name is the Dodgers. Yes, I know the Dodgers aren't doing so hot but Allen's team is awesome. This year all the kids on his team hit pretty well and seem to really want to be there. Pony league is a bit more competitive and so they always play the game the way it should be played (with outs and all). All the kids seem to really like this because then they have a reason to pay attention when they are in the field. Allen is about the second best batter on the team. There is this one kid that just rockets the ball every time. He is for sure the best player they have. Anyways Allen is loving it and we all are enjoying seeing him play.

They usually sit in the line up when it's there turn to bat. Allen is always the one that gets the rest of his team to cheer on the person up to bat.

I think Allen's favorite position is catcher. He looks so cute in all the pads. He likes it because then he is a part of every pitch.

Sorry, I don't know why they are sideways but there he is in position waiting for the pitch.

Carter loves going to the games. This year is a lot nicer because he has a little friend to play with. They cheer and eat popcorn when they are not running all over playing.

Evan has been a real champ at the games. It's past his bed time but he still smiles for everyone and makes the game a lot more fun.

And here is our all star running his inside the park homerun. All of us got super excited. Especially Carter (sorry about how loud it is).

Duck Fun

A lot has happened since I posted last but unfortunately our camera broke. So you will not get to see any pics from that time. But we have a new one now and are back in business. Some of what you missed out on is that Allen had an awesome report card. His teacher was very pleased with the work he has done and said " Allen is already doing work at a 1st grade level." We are so proud of him and all his hard work. Speaking of school, Carter just started his first year in preschool. We are loving the preschool he is at and it has already helped him improve so much. All our boys are doing very well. We took a quick trip to see Grandma and Grandpa Meagher two weeks ago. It was so much fun to get to visit with them. We only got to go for the day but it just made us remember how much we miss being able to see them whenever we want. It's hard to live so far away. Well that's the highlights of what you missed and now on to the next thing. My niece Natosha bought a duck the other day and Katrina brought it over when she visited us last week. He is super cute and it was a good experience for the kids. The boys have been getting more and more nervous around animals. So when she brought the baby duck out one boy screamed and ran and the other jumped behind someone. Yes all that for a little baby duck. As the day went on and everyone was playing with him. All the boys started to loosen up and have fun with him too. You probably could have guessed that Carter was the one who screamed and ran. In this picture much time had passed and he was at the point where it was okay as long as he was in the tub.
I think this is right around the time both boys first touched the duck. Good job boys!
Allen was a little worried that the duck was going to bite him. By the end of the day Allen was letting the duck nibble on his fingers and laughing.
Of course mom had to show the boys that this thing was okay to touch. Well, and I just love baby ducks.

Evan even got a chance to pet the duck. All the excitement makes me think we need to get some kind of pet soon. Although I have no desire what so ever to have one right now. I think the boys might need the experience. By the end of the day though the boys were sad to see him go home. Which give us some hope.
