Our Biggest Baseball Boy

It's that time of year again for Allen's baseball games. This year Allen is playing in the pony league. His team's name is the Dodgers. Yes, I know the Dodgers aren't doing so hot but Allen's team is awesome. This year all the kids on his team hit pretty well and seem to really want to be there. Pony league is a bit more competitive and so they always play the game the way it should be played (with outs and all). All the kids seem to really like this because then they have a reason to pay attention when they are in the field. Allen is about the second best batter on the team. There is this one kid that just rockets the ball every time. He is for sure the best player they have. Anyways Allen is loving it and we all are enjoying seeing him play.

They usually sit in the line up when it's there turn to bat. Allen is always the one that gets the rest of his team to cheer on the person up to bat.

I think Allen's favorite position is catcher. He looks so cute in all the pads. He likes it because then he is a part of every pitch.

Sorry, I don't know why they are sideways but there he is in position waiting for the pitch.

Carter loves going to the games. This year is a lot nicer because he has a little friend to play with. They cheer and eat popcorn when they are not running all over playing.

Evan has been a real champ at the games. It's past his bed time but he still smiles for everyone and makes the game a lot more fun.

And here is our all star running his inside the park homerun. All of us got super excited. Especially Carter (sorry about how loud it is).

Duck Fun

A lot has happened since I posted last but unfortunately our camera broke. So you will not get to see any pics from that time. But we have a new one now and are back in business. Some of what you missed out on is that Allen had an awesome report card. His teacher was very pleased with the work he has done and said " Allen is already doing work at a 1st grade level." We are so proud of him and all his hard work. Speaking of school, Carter just started his first year in preschool. We are loving the preschool he is at and it has already helped him improve so much. All our boys are doing very well. We took a quick trip to see Grandma and Grandpa Meagher two weeks ago. It was so much fun to get to visit with them. We only got to go for the day but it just made us remember how much we miss being able to see them whenever we want. It's hard to live so far away. Well that's the highlights of what you missed and now on to the next thing. My niece Natosha bought a duck the other day and Katrina brought it over when she visited us last week. He is super cute and it was a good experience for the kids. The boys have been getting more and more nervous around animals. So when she brought the baby duck out one boy screamed and ran and the other jumped behind someone. Yes all that for a little baby duck. As the day went on and everyone was playing with him. All the boys started to loosen up and have fun with him too. You probably could have guessed that Carter was the one who screamed and ran. In this picture much time had passed and he was at the point where it was okay as long as he was in the tub.
I think this is right around the time both boys first touched the duck. Good job boys!
Allen was a little worried that the duck was going to bite him. By the end of the day Allen was letting the duck nibble on his fingers and laughing.
Of course mom had to show the boys that this thing was okay to touch. Well, and I just love baby ducks.

Evan even got a chance to pet the duck. All the excitement makes me think we need to get some kind of pet soon. Although I have no desire what so ever to have one right now. I think the boys might need the experience. By the end of the day though the boys were sad to see him go home. Which give us some hope.

Finn Nathan Tulett

We are so excited to have a new baby in the family. My brother Nate and his wife Carlee had a baby boy on May 1st named Finn Nathan Tulett. We love him already and can't wait to get to meet him in person.

Carter's Big Day

As many of you know the last 7 or so months have be really busy and a little stressful for Carter and us. But we have now got everything figured out and settled into a routine. Carter has been diagnosed with a speech and language delay and only a small amount of sensory issues. But mainly just speech and language delay. We are very relieved that is what it turned out to be and he has improved a ton (and I really mean a ton) since he started his little journey. Carter goes to speech therapy twice a week and to see an occupational therapist once a week. When he first started going he was 2 1/2 years old and spoke about 5 or so word. He threw a lot of fits and was really hard to calm down once he got going. Now 7 months later he speaks in small sentences and knows too many words to count. He is still hard to understand but is able to get his point across much easier. He also does not throw fits anymore. (there is the occasional, I'm a normal kid fit but nothing like it had been) We are so proud of Carter and his accomplishments. Also as of last week Carter started going to a special preschool where they will also work on his speech even more. This does make him very busy with a 4 days a week preschool, 2 days a week speech lesson, and a 1 day a week occupational therapy session. But he is happy to do all of it and we are happy with all his hard work. He is such a great kid and we feel lucky to have him in our little family.

Carter and I went backpack shopping and he tried a whole bunch of them on and as soon as he got this one on he wouldn't take it off and started to walk away. As if to say, okay mom I found the one I want. It was so cute, then when we went up to the check out he kept saying to the lady "pack pack". He was so happy to be able to have a backpack just like his big brother. Here is our guy on the first day of school. He was so happy. We had been telling him for two days that he was going to get to go to school and when we got his backpack I think he knew what was up. This kid could not stop smiling all morning long and was running all round the house saying "shool". He was the first one out the door that morning. I don't think he could have been any happier.

Carter's 3rd Birthday!

This was the first birthday that Carter has really gotten into. For days before all of us where telling Carter is was going to be his birthday and he would go around the house singing Happy Birthday to me. He also helped me design his cake. He could hardly wait for me to get it all made. He helped with his invitations as well. (I don't have a picture of the invitations though sorry) They were monkey faces and when you pulled his tongue down the information was on it. We had a lot of fun putting them together. When it was party time Carter welcomed every person at the door with a big hug and loved that everyone was there for him. He couldn't tell me but I could tell he loved his special day and having almost everyone he loves there with him.

Carter was so interested in his birthday cake he could hardly wait for everyone to get there. Posing with his lion and assorted animals cake. Yep, here it is again in all its wild glory. Here are some of the fun crowd that came to the party. Carter was opening a present and Jamie thought this one was a real nail biter. Present from Uncle Bryan. Kevin's family's presents are always among some of the favorites. Opening the Johnson family's present. Carter and Evan really like this one. He got so many awesome gifts this year it was hard for him to choose which one to play with first. Thanks everyone who came and celebrated with us.

I really loved the Happy Birthday song this year because Carter was singing along with us. I just love it when he is using his awesome speech.

St. Patricks Day

On St. Patrick;s Day we had a lot of fun. It all started with breakfast, Daddy made some green eggs and ham and we read the book while we ate it. (Sorry we ate it all up before we thought to get a picture) Then the whole family got dressed up in our greens and drew shamrocks on our hands. Then all of us went off to do our things for the day and then had a special night of fun St. Patrick's day games and things. It was a ton of fun.

We dressed the boys in green of course and they all just looked so cute. Don't you think? All of us in the family had shamrocks drawn on our hand. I took a ton of pictures and couldn't get Evan to smile in any of them. His face just got more and more concerned. These where the best ones.

My boys

I always seem to end up with a bunch or cute random pictures of my boys. So this time I thought I would share some of them with all of you. We have so much fun at our house on a daily basis. Having a house full of rambunctious boys always makes for some crazy moments.

Allen got a Leapster for his birthday and all the boys seemed to love it. Even Daddy and Evan like to play it. I thought it was just too cute and had to get a picture. The flash is really bright on this one but I love Carter's smile. He is always making all of us laugh and smile with the super cute things he says and just like my side of the family, is always laughing at his own jokes. Here is my cute little bumkin Evan. I put him in here for just a minute while I was putting his clothes away and noticed how cute he was being. His cousin Meeghen gave him this little monkey blanket and he is always wrestling and playing with it. It's just so cute and funny. And there is the tongue that is always out lately. Evan had a stuffy nose for a week or so and it made him sound like he was panting. And as always he has his tongue out too. The boys thought it was really funny that he looked and sounded like a puppy and so they all were crawling around like dogs for the whole week.
